Astro is a 2001 Oldenburg gelding by Ariadus out of Inkognito. Astro was sold as a yearling to Susan Shepherd of Long Island, NY. Susan had Astro started by a hunter trainer because her interests were in that discipline. Astro showed great ability and would have gone far. But Susan was exposed to dressage at the barn where she boarded Astro, and decided to start taking dressage lessons. Astro is doing very well at dressage, as well as being a quiet, nice family horse to trail ride and enjoy.
